Today we will learn Besan ladoo – Maharashtrian sweetstep by step with pictures. Diwali or deepavali is most celebrated festival in India. It is festival of light, festivity and celebration. No celebration is celebrate without sweets. during this auspicious occasion make sweets at home rather buying out side and share it with your family and friends.
Besan ladoo are easy to make and they are very nutritious and healthy. to make them more healthy you can add almonds, resins, cashew, pistachio.
My mother makes all diwali snacks and sweets. She share with all relatives and family friends. There are two recipe to make besan ladoo but this is most simple recipe. Here is my first diwali recipe and i am very happy to share this with you 🙂

If you by mistakenly add more ghee and unable to make ladoos you can refrigerate mixture for 10 minutes.So ghee will solidify.
Ingredients
- • 1 cup besan or gram flour or chickpea flour.
- • 1/3 cup powdered sugar (you can add more if you want).
- • 1/3 cup melted ghee.
- • Dry fruits
Instructions
- Sieve the besan or gram flour make sure there are no lumps as well as sieve powder sugar in different plate or bowl.
- Heat up pan or kadhai on medium heat and dry roast gram flour or besan about 10 12 minutes
- Keep on stirring continuously right from the beginning so that besan or chickpea flour is not burned so that there is even browning.
- Now remove besan,flour or gram flour in plate.
- Add powdered sugar in besan orgram flour mix well.
- Now add melted ghee mix all ingredients together very well.
- Make medium size balls and decorate with dry fruits.
- Our besan ladoo is ready.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PICTURES
Ingredients we need for making besan ladoo are 1 cup of besan flour, 1/3 cup of sugar you can add if you want more sweet, 1/3 cup of melted ghee make sure ghee is melted and some dry fruits like cashew, almonds, raisins, pistachio.
Sieve the besan or gram flour make sure there are no lumps as well as sieve powder sugar in different plate or bowl.Heat up pan or kadhai on medium heat and dry roast gram flour or besan about 10 – 12 minutes.
Keep on stirring continuously right from the beginning so that besan or chickpea flour is not burned so that there is even browning. Its impotent to roast gram flour well, till it will starts giving nutty fragrance.
Now remove besan flour or gram flour in plate. Add powdered sugar in besan orgram flour mix well.
Now add melted ghee…..
mix all ingredients together very well…..
Make medium size balls and decorate with dry fruits. If ladoo are not sticking together add more ghee and if you by mistakenly add more ghee and unable to make ladoos you can refrigerate mixture for 10 minutes. So ghee will solidify.
Our besan ladoo is ready.
