Chicken gravy is very easy and tasty recipe. This recipe is malavan recipe from kokan Maharashtra. I thank to my sister from whom i learn this recipe. You can made this recipe without mixer grinder, you can cook this chicken gravy really very quick. This is simple recipe as compare mutton rassa and sukha mutton.

make sure all onion and tomatoes melt in oil. It gives tasty flavor to gravy.
You can increase gravy by adding water.
Ingredients
- • ½ kg chicken
- • 1 cup Curd
- • 1 tbsp Garam masala
- • 1 and ½ tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- • 1 cup chopped Onion
- • 2 cup small chopped Tomatoes
- • 2 tbsp Cumin and coriander powder
- • 1 tbsp Coconut (its optional)
- • 2 tbsp Red chili powder
- • ½ tbsp turmeric powder
- • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- • Pinch of baking soda
- • oil
- • Salt to taste
Instructions
Marinate chicken-
- Wash chicken drain water and start to marinate. Add 1 cup of curd, ½ tbsp of turmeric powder, ½ tbsp cumin powder, ½ tbsp of coriander power, ½ tbsp garam masala , salt, 1 tbsp red chili powder and ½ tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Mix it all well and keep marinated chicken in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Let it marinate good then perform below steps.
Cook gravy -
- Heat up 4 tbsp oil in kadai or pan, add 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- Once cumin seeds sputter add small chopped onion sauté until it become soft now add pinch of baking soda which start to melt onion immediately
- Next add tomato stir the mixture until tomato melt . It takes little bit time. Stir occasionally.
- Now add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and stir well.
- Next add 1 tbsp of red chili, ½ tbsp coriander powder, ½ tbsp cumin powder and ½ tbsp garam masala stir all dry ingredient.
- Add 1 tbsp of shredded coconut stir it again.
- Next add chicken which we marinated earlier.
- Add salt as per taste needs. Don’t add water we add curd which release water during cooking.
- Transfer all chicken gravy in cooker and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
- Our chicken curry is ready.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITH PICTURES-
